Tasks
- Consult with family of deceased regarding funeral and related services
- Embalm remains
- Inform survivors of benefits
- Perform restorative work
- Perform cosmetic work on remains
- Preserve, sanitize and prepare human remains for funeral services
- Plan and schedule funeral services
- Co-ordinate burials and cremations
- Complete legal documentation
- Pre-arrange funerals
- Arrange for transfer of remains from place of death to funeral home
